Boredom is so...boring

If you immediatley know candlelight is fire, then the meal was cooked long ago.

-Nobody has commented on the use of the word immediately, this says if you make a quick decision from past patterns and do not think, even when we see a fire on a candle we should question it, to find if we only 'think' it is fire. Maybe our perspective says it is fire, when it is not. This is having an open mind and willingness to challenge ones own perspective.

The river tells no lies, yet standing at its shores the dishonest man still hears them.

-This means that without a clear conscience, no matter how peaceful the place, a dishonest man cannot enjoy that peace.
